Below is a list of video conferencing and group meeting tools that have been used for online SI-PASS.

Adobe Connect

Adobe Connect includes tools such as an interactive flip-chart, screen sharing, breakout rooms, polls and quizzes, hand raise feature, chat, and an engagement dashboard.

BigBlueButton is designed for educational settings and offers collaborative tools like a whiteboard, screen sharing, breakout rooms, hand raise, polls, and chat.

This platform, built specifically for education, includes features like a collaborative whiteboard, screen sharing, breakout rooms, hand raise, polls, and chat.

GoBoard

GoBoard is free for higher education group meetings of up to five participants. It offers screen sharing, a collaborative whiteboard, chat, and advanced tutoring tools such as functions and dynamic equations. The platform is limited to five participants per meeting regardless of the pricing plan.

Google Hangouts

Google Hangouts is free and allows group video calls with up to 10 people, including a chat feature. Screen sharing and breakout rooms are not available.

Google Meet

The basic version of Google Meet is free, supporting video meetings up to one hour with 100 participants, including screen sharing. A monthly subscription offers additional features such as breakout rooms, meeting recording saved to Google Drive, hand raise, polls, attendance reports, and extended meeting time.

Below are some commonly used tools within an online SI-PASS setting. Many digital platforms used for SI-PASS, such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, also feature built-in whiteboards that can be helpful for hosting sessions.

Miro Board

An unlimited digital whiteboard for real-time and asynchronous collaborative work. Miro allows document embedding, image additions, and includes templates and frames to help organize and navigate collaborative work. The board can document the outcomes from each SI-PASS session, serving as a valuable resource for participants. Miro board is free for up to three boards.
